1. What to Check Before You Dismiss the Cough

If you started coughing during cleaning or within minutes afterward, the sudden reaction can make lung damage feel likely. A brief cough does not automatically mean poisoning, but the exposure details can reveal when ordinary irritation is no longer the most likely explanation.

Improvement in fresh air is reassuring, but it does not prove every exposure was harmless.
